Sunday 19th January 2020: Ace of Swords

The Ace of Swords is an arcana of great change crowned by Keter, the topmost sephiroth on the tree of life. As such it represents the great potential of the mind to create through the medium of thought, word and language. The Rider Waite version of this arcana includes six flames link the Ace of Swords to the sixth position on the tree of life, half way down the same central branch which is crowned by Keter, namely Tiferet or beauty, which connects today’s arcana with the symbolism of the six water vessels in today’s liturgical meditation on the Second Sunday after the Epiphany.

It is a fine arcana to receive on a Sunday, at the beginning of the week. I suggest that this week you meditate on what it is that you are and that you wish to become. You can do that by writing “I am…” and then start adding some descriptions. It so happened that a fellow Wealthy Affiliate subscriber posted a video on his YouTube channel of Paster Joel Olsten on the topic of using the transformative power of I AM in your life in this way…

This seems the ideal exercise for the week following the Second Sunday after the Epiphany in which we meditate upon the power of transformation as manifested by Christ’s first miracle at the marriage at Cana.
