When I was a boy an older friend of mine would sometimes ask me, “What kind of fool are you?” This seems to be a good question today in the light of the foregoing cards, 10 of Swords and Knight of Pentacles because folly takes on many forms; there is the energy-sapping folly of getting carried away with controversies that you have no control over and which are unrelated to what is of immediate moment in your life today; and there is the divine folly of being open to all that life has to offer, which may carry you beyond the familiar home soil and the boundaries of what you know. So what kind of fool will you be today? For we are all fools of one kind or another; the only choice you have is to choose the character of your folly.
