The Eight of Swords suggests that at the beginning of this Advent season we find our thoughts and our energy scattered, causing us to feel a sense of constriction and a loss of vision. With the Sun in watery Scorpio and the Moon entering grounded Capricorn, now is the time to centre ourselves and to renew our sense of balance. As the Eight of Swords is our solar arcana for this week, it is just now when we may have scattered our energy with the exertions of the previous week that we may feel the sting of Scorpio.
The Liturgical arcana for this week is the (7) Chariot, which also happened to be yesterday’s daily arcana. The (7) Chariot, with its grounded sense of balance is therefore the key to finding some resolution this week, although we must wait upon tomorrow’s lunar arcana for a deeper understanding of the nature of the Moon in grounded Capricorn.
