The sudden change that yesterday’s (16) Tower arcana presented us with turns out to be connected to our mental processes relating to our perceptions, perhaps our self-talk, or our analytical ability. Five is also a number of change, a shift in mental power or perception quite possibly in relation to others; but note that if you identify with the hermetic figure in the forefront of the picture, you are the one who holds the swords and who has gained the upper hand in this skirmish. However, there is no “rubbing in” involved here, so avoid using your tongue as a two-edged sword. If you are angry with one or two others, then be so in the spirit of last week’s New Testament Reading for the Twentieth Sunday After Trinity:
Be ye angry and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath.
Ephesians 4: 25-26
It is also possible that the sense of loss or failure, of hopes coming to an end refers to projects of your own and that now, in the shadow of the (16) Tower it is time to gather up your resources and recollect your thoughts and let the sun set on your old ideas in preparation for new perspectives and new approaches with the dawning of a new day.
