Our solar King of Swords brings a clear anaylitcal response to the darker motions stirred up with the Knight of Cups in yesterday’s reading. His quality, especially today, is to look at emotions in the light of day, rather than in the nocturnal moonlight.
The King of Swords will ask questions such as “How did it make me feel? Why did I feel that way? Is that a good way to feel about it?”
As a King, he considers the big picture, the wood rather than the trees. So he will apply his insights for to the common good. That ties nicely with the meditation for Rogation Sunday, for he it is who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it as a doer – or delegator – of the work, and blessed in his deeds is he.
