The passive quality of this week continues to be expressed through the Fours. The passivity is full of positive potential. Mercury will shortly be leaving Taurus for his domicle, Leo, which will be friendly towards greater mental energy, starting from tomorrow. Today, however, do not tax yourself with cogitation. Enter into the spirit of the arcana which is ruled by Jupiter in Libra, suggesting that great benefit will come from a restful and well-balanced mind no matter how busy your day may be in the outer world.
Note also that the reference to Libra and the conjunction of the Four of Cups and the Four of Swords is evocative of our liturgical arcana for this week, which is Justice in her older location as the eighth arcana of the Oswald Wirth Tarot.
Indeed, the scales of Libra are held by Themis, the Greek personification of justice, good counsel, as well as the order of the cosmos and tradition. We need to cultivate peace and repose to receive her insights. We need to rest and meditate in the days before Whitsun reveals Themis in the form of the Holy Spirit, the divine Sophia, manifesting with power and glory in and through those who are open to her.
